Havana, Cuba

Beautiful beaches, retro cars, and isolation from the USA for 53 years. These are reasons why Cuba is definitely on our list to visit. Now that it is easier for Americans, we plan to go either this year or the upcoming year. In my research of flights, I stumbled across a $145 round-trip fare from Miami to Havana.  At first, I was ready to pounce since this seemed like an awesome deal and I was afraid it might disappear! After looking further, it seems that this almost a year round deal from Delta and Frontier.

There is even availability over some holidays like Independence Day and Labor Day. Since this was almost a year round price, I didn’t want to make this a “deal alert” post. We also plan on looking at using some SouthWest Airlines points to make it down to Cuba. I found this deal through Skyscanner. Momondo has the price for nearly $100 more so I’d avoid using it this time around. Delta.com also is showing the same $145 price. Booking on Delta also allows you to cancel within 24 hours if you change your mind. So if you’re planning to visit Cuba, this is a great low cost choice if you can get to Miami!
