Winter is coming…errr actually, we are coming for you!
In two weeks, we are taking our next trip abroad to Reykjavik. Back in September, we were thinking to ourselves, “We should definitely go somewhere during the holidays this year.” We both have some off time from work during the holidays and have been wanting to go ever since WOW Air started selling $99 one-way fares from the U.S.
Well, we sat on that thought for weeks while viewing everyone’s amazing pictures from their trip to Iceland on our Facebook newsfeed. In the past year, we’ve been to southeast Asia, Mexico, and a lot places within Europe. We usually aim for at least one trip abroad in a year and have already been on three so far….but we want more!
After going back and forth on our decision and hundreds of dollars later, we went to the WOW Air website and booked 2 round-trip tickets from Baltimore to Reykjavik, Iceland. Unfortunately, we didn’t snag those awesome $99 one-way fares and paid a little bit more than typical since we were going over the holidays. We don’t live in Baltimore, so we went ahead and bough tickets on Southwest airlines to get us there. With our domestic and international flights finalized, there is no looking back now!
We’ve also started to plan for what we are going to do whilst in Iceland. From my research thus far about the weather conditions during winter, it seems that it would be a gamble to rent a car since snow storms are unpredictable and we don’t want to be stranded in a foreign country. It’ll be our first time there so we’ll err on the side of caution. I’ll be going into deeper detail on our sightseeing plans in the near future. More to come soon!
